
About Me
Jacinda Ripley is the Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas. She previously held collegiate positions at Saginaw Valley State, Alma College, the University of Olivet, and Saint Xavier University. She has performed with the Lansing, Battle Creek, Flint, Adrian, Racine, and Saginaw Bay Symphonies and was a trumpet fellow at the National Orchestral Institute in 2022.
Dr. Ripley maintains a private studio and has presented masterclasses to studios across the United States, including the University of Michigan, the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the University of Utah, the University of Iowa, and Illinois State Trumpet Studios. She has given presentations at the International Women's Brass Conference and serves on the editing team for the International Women’s Brass Conference Noteworthy Newsletter. She is a conference reporter for the International Trumpet Guild.
Ripley received her Doctorate from Michigan State University. She holds a Master of Music in Performance from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the Eastman School of Music. Her primary trumpet teachers have included Justin Emerich, Robert Sullivan, James Thompson, and Leah Schuman.
